SENIOR BUYER / RETAIL BUYER / WEB CONTENT MANAGER – ONLINE RETAIL - LONDON

Combining skills as a character brand/toy sector buyer, merchandiser and online store manager this exciting yet demanding role would suit a self motivated individual with a background in either e-business content management or as a retail buyer looking for an exciting opportunity to progress into the online / e-business sector. 

Reporting to the Product Director the successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with key character brand suppliers and brand owners whilst effectively managing the account management team and acting as the first point of contact regarding all internal and external communications.  In more detail your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the Account Management (merchandising and buying) team.
• Developing and managing commercial relationships with manufacturers and character brand license holders.
• Developing and negotiating activity plans and funding to maximise promotional opportunities.
• Ensuring pricing competitiveness within the market place whilst optimising sales and profitability.
• Managing the look and feel of online stores including product and home pages.
• Copywriting sites to ensure they are complete, editorially correct and adhere to site standards.
• Managing the company’s brand new online toy store.

In return for this opportunity your CV will need to show a proven track record in: Price negotiation, buying and supplier reduction within a retail or online environment; demonstrable commercial awareness; the ability to work well under pressure; excellent communication skills including negotiating and influencing people; self motivation; enthusiasm and a solid grounding in IT (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
