Job purpose:

We are looking for a skilled Web Analyst to join an existing team working on a range of online and interactive services. This role will focus on the following areas of Sky’s online and interactive business, where you’ll:

Understand, collate and develop business informational requirements; define functional specs for the implementation of new reporting features; assist with the effective implementation of analytics and reporting within developed solutions; develop automated reports and dashboards; mining and isolation of invaluable insights from high volumes of web data; identify new tools and more effective methods for obtaining metrics and generating reports; and support technical and business user groups for all analytics related queries.
You’ll gain familiarity and high level of competence with web analytics tools (Hitbox, Discover-On-Premise).

Requirements, skills and abilities we are looking for:

• Degree educated with experience in a sophisticated web analytics, customer usage + management information reporting role

• Your likely background is to be in an online consumer facing business or interactive television, or within telecommunications / ISP / utilities / financial services, or a high volume consumer technology business

• Demonstrate a good level of competence and experience in web analytics tools

• Familiarity with the key reporting issues in new multi-channel environments, especially online

• Basic knowledge of online marketing (Affiliate programs, organic SEO, PPC, email and online)

• Analytical approach to problems and comfortable dealing with numeric data and keen eye for detail and accuracy

• A good understanding of Sky and Online & Interactive services

• Visual Sciences Hitbox experience, research skills/qualifications, database/data management skills are all beneficial

Based in Osterley, West London. Travel to other sites throughout the UK may be required.
