Role
The main focus of the role is to develop HTML and creative designs for the online channel (B2C, B2B and corporate websites).

Reports to: Lead E-Commerce Developer

Responsibilities:
* Produce clean, well structured standards compliant HTML, CSS, and Javascript solutions
* Create and develop imagery and graphics for the online channel in accordance with brand guidelines and specific briefs.
* Ensure that the online channel is compliant with latest accessibility standards
* Test that the online channel supports its stated user environments (e.g. browser versions)
* Monitor competitor and "best of breed" online activity (with special regard to original use of creative) and make recommendations to improve our online execution
* Undertake user acceptance testing of any new developments within the online channel
* Assist in developing Statement of Operating Requirements (SOR) for new projects and developing this to a Functional Requirements Specification and Webflow
* Assist in the management and support of the Interwoven content management system.
* Produce and manage plans for allocated project/campaign work
* JSP development
* Set and maintain high standards of development process and web page construction

Essential requirements
* Keen sense of web standards
* Exceptional CSS and XHTML skills - ability to develop and hand code HTML
* 1-2 years experience of working on a commercial website
* Photoshop/graphic editing
* Good communication skills
* Enthusiasm for online development
* Can-do attitude
* IT related degree 2:1 or above
* Experience of working in a client driven environment

Desirable requirements
* Exposure to JSP/JSTL/SQL
* Knowledge of Content Management systems
* Unobtrusive DOM scripting
